JUNIPER CORNER PLAYGROUND . SAN LEANDRO
We’ve had the pleasure of working with the non-profit Juniper Corner to find a brick and mortar location over the last few months.
Currently, Juniper Corner operates as a pop-up that provides fun, safe, age-appropriate play events for kids ages 0 - 5 years old at various locations around the San Leandro area. Run by volunteers and local parents, the non-profit has been operating as a pop-up for a couple years. They found a location near the center of town for their permanent, indoor space this past Winter. We have been working with Juniper Corner and the Owner to bring the building up to current safety standards as well as design a new, permanent space to support drop in play.
The new play space is meant to be fun and flexible, and incorporate a play structure, ball pit, padded floor space for younger kids, plenty of area to spread out and play games, read books, and build things, as well as incorporate necessary infrastructural pieces like new restrooms, a kitchenette, a private room for rest, and an office.
We’re so excited for kids to have this space to play in San Leandro very soon!
